Home2 Suites by Hilton Downingtown Exton Route 30

This is classic Home2 Suites - if you’ve stayed at them before, you’ll understand. It’s consistent with what you expect from any Hilton Home2 property. I like it’s location as well as the price. My room was clean and exactly as described. The beds were acceptably comfortable, the fitness center had the basics, and the breakfast had the classics available.

The building infrastructure was fine. The facility was clean. However, the hotel was overrun by a kid's sport tournament. Adults partied until after 11:00 PM in the hotel lobby while children ran up and down hallways and pounded on doors. The morning breakfast was pandemonium. I have been at many other Hilton establishments inundated with youth sporting events and never experienced this level of disruption to MY stay. A few management techniques I have observed at these other hotels included: parents were required to be present in the breakfast area (management would direct unruly children away from the food serving area); children running in the hallways would be accompanied to find their parents; coolers of alcohol would not be permitted in the lobby (especially since the lobby was within a few feet of guest rooms); the night management could have prompted the revelers in the lobby to be more quiet). My dissatisfaction was not due to the behavior of the guests, but due to the lack of effective management to provide a conducive atmosphere for all guests.

Had an extra night's charge on my credit card that was not legit and questionable actions by the hotel staff. Went there for business, they could not pull up one person's reservation, so another was created. After looking through Concur billing, one extra night was charge as a "no show" and a cancellation happened, which I never did as I solely booked the reservations. The cancelled reservation would have been for two nights, so not sure why only one night charged, and it was painful to correct with customer service

I like this hotel due to the staff, location and pricing. The front desk staff is excellent in which I would like to include Mrs. Angel & Mrs. Erica. They have been really helpful and making things comfortable plus easy for me. I am a trucker so I travel and stay at several hotels but this Home 2 is outstanding. Thank you all for what you do!

Stayed here 1 night for an event that was scheduled near West Chester. They do have breakfast but we did not take advantage of it. But from a picture seen in the elevator and it looks like a step above what you get at the Hampton. Front staff professional and recognized me as a Gold Member. Everything clean in the lobby with some seating. Outside area had covered seating with a propane heater. Indoor pool. The room was immaculately cleaned. It is set up with a small kitchen area with fridge and freezer, microwave, sink, and toaster. Dishes, bowls, cups,glasses, and utensils for six. Desk area with work area. Sofa directly across from kitchen area. There is a sliding curtain to separate bed from kitchen area. Nice large walk in shower with glass doors. Three pump bottles in shower attached to wall. I would prefer them closer to where I would be standing under the shower. Bathroom good in bathroom. Good quality towels. Softer bed with good sheets. Spacious room.
